Tardy Procedures

Students must sign in to the Attendance Office if they are late to class.  The tardy period is considered from the time the second bell rings until 20 minutes have passed (15 minutes on Wednesdays).  An arrival of 21 minutes (16 on Wednesdays)) is considered an absence.  At the end of the period, if the student leaves within that same 15-20 minute time frame, and was in class the rest of the time, it is not considered an absence.  Students must have this excused at the time of departure, unless it is an emergency and we are unable to contact a parent/guardian or emergency contact.  If this is the case, the dismissal must be excused within 48 hours or a disciplinary referral is written for a truancy and given to the appropriate Vice-Principal.
