Activities in the Community and at Liberty College representatives visit Liberty in the fall to meet with prospective students about admissions, programs and campus life. We are starting to arrange these visits now. Click on Visits at Liberty High School above to view our current schedule. Every fall many colleges host evening programs for prospective students and their families at various local venues. These informational sessions normally last one to two hours and address such areas as academics, financial aid, and admissions. For details relating to these types of visits click on Visits in the Area. College Fairs Is it time to decide which post secondary option is right for you? Plan to attend a NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) College Fair for information on those schools you may be considering. These are free events open to the public. · Performing and Visual Arts College Fair - Monday, October 24, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Fisher Pavilion at the Seattle Center. · Seattle National College Fair – Friday, November 4, 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon and Saturday, November 5 12:00 PM – 4 PM at the Washington State Convention Center. For more information about either fair visit: www.nacacnet.org · Seattle Christian College Fair is an evening event being held on Monday, October 17 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Bear Creek Middle School in Redmond. More than 40 Christian colleges will be represented. Visit www.nccf.us for more detailed information. Scholarships Click on the Senior Bulletin link to view scholarship opportunities. Come to the Career Center and peruse our scholarship file for eligibility, application requirements and deadline information. Also, Seniors will be given an updated Financial Aid Handbook for 2011-2012. Evening Events at Liberty High School · October 4, 2011 – College Information for Seniors at Liberty High School · November 15, 2011 – Financial Aid Night at Liberty Senior Interviews, as part of the Culminating Project graduation requirement, will be held Wednesday, October 26th and November 2 in the Liberty High School library. Do you know what your interests are and what you are good at? The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test includes questions and activities to help you identify your interests and provide you information about your verbal, math and science and technical skills. It is a career planning and exploration program. The test is free and will be offered on Wednesday, November 30 starting at 7:30 AM in the Liberty library. Students need to sign up in the Career Center in November. For additional information go to www.asvabprogram.com The Career Center is open 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM Monday through Friday.
