Liberty High School Registration 2008-2009

A big part of a successful school experience is careful planning. I encourage you to study the course guide, get involved in your student's selection of courses, and ask questions of your student’s teachers, counselors, and administrators. Our job is to make sure each student has challenging courses, give you our recommendations and help guide you and your student to make the right choices.

Once your student registers for classes in February, we will give you a chance in March to review and make any changes to the courses we have for your student in the computer. Whatever is in the computer at the end of March is final and changes can not be made again until August.

The course guide is not being printed this year. It is available along with all the necessary forms online. The counselors will go into classes and present to grade levels on the dates listed below. Registration forms are due to the Counseling Office or Social Studies teacher no later than 2:30 pm on the dates listed.

Highlight of New Courses

Below is a highlight of new courses and courses that we have restructured for next year. Some of these classes have prerequisites and the decision to actually run the course will not be made until April. We are excited about the direction of the programs listed below. Changes that we have made this year are part of a larger plan over the next few years to refocus each department to match the 21st century academic and workplace needs of Liberty students. I wanted to give you a preview of what your student will hear so that you all can make informed decisions. Please read the write-ups in the course guide for all classes to make sure it matches your student’s academic plan and interests.

If you have questions or want more information, please feel free to contact either the counseling office or one of the administrators.
