All parents: Next week we are beginning the registration process for classes. Below is a highlight of new courses and courses that we have restructured for next year. Some of these classes have prerequisites and the decision to actually run the course will not be made until April. We are excited about the direction of the programs listed below. Changes that we have made this year are part of a larger plan over the next few years to refocus each department to match the 21st century academic and workplace needs of Liberty students. I wanted to give you a preview of what your student will hear so that you all can make informed decisions. Please read the write-ups for all classes to make sure it matches your students academic plan and interests. Course Guide

Stanford Testing: 9th grade parents: Across the district Stanford testing is occurring. At Liberty, that means we only test 9th graders. Testing will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 5th and Thursday, Feb. 7th during 5th period. Please make sure your student is in school on those days. We use the results as one of many data points to make class placement decisions about your students. There is no significant change to the school schedule on those testing days, except that fifth period is 10 minutes longer on Feb. 5th and 7th.
Thank you to all who came to the college planning night. We appreciated your involvement and feedback. We estimated that over 180 people attended. Special thanks, to Kate Bice, Diane Christensen, and Gayle Johnson who were part of the parent panel and offered their wisdom and guidance on college planning.
