Liberty Parents: This week and next week we will start after school help in math and writing. LHS teachers will be available to help your students on the scheduled days in the library. Flyers are posted around the building, teachers have talked about the tutoring in class, and the schedule for the math and writing labs are posted online. Click on www.liberty.issaquah.wednet.edu. Look under recent news or general info for the schedule. The writing lab schedule is only through 1st semester. We will update the schedule for 2nd semester later on.
The funding for after school programs has been provided by the Issaquah Schools Foundation (ISF). ISF is an important strategic partner with the school district. With their help, each of the comprehensive High Schools received $7000 to fund after school programs. Thank you ISF!
Liberty Parents: Now that grades have been posted you may have a few more questions. Please e-mail your student's teacher. Below is also a list of the counselors and the students they serve. We divide students up by their last name. The counselors listed with the student groups are for freshman, sophomores and juniors, seniors stay as they were last year.

Help! Why doesn't my student's quarter 1 grade match up with my student's semester grade and assignments in GradeBook? Good question! What you see posted under the "Quarter 1" grade column right now is a snapshot of your student's grade on Oct. 9, the day the grade check was due. However, the grade you see posted under the "Semester" column as well as the "assignment list" under quarter grades are continually updated as teachers enter information. So your student might have had a C in English as of October 9 (when the snapshot of the grade was taken); since then, the teacher may have posted several more homework assignments that your student completed successfully, bringing his/her continuously running grade up to a B. You would see a "C" under the quarter grade column and a "B" under the semester column; additionally, the new assignments would continue to be added to the ongoing assignment list.
Senior Parents: Senior interviews are Wednesday, November 7 and 14 in the Liberty library. Preparation is in process in senior English classes. Please note: Students must complete the High School and Beyond Planning Guide and all 11th Grade culminating project assignments in order to receive an interview appointment. Final deadline on prior year's work is October 18! Senior interviews are part of the High School and Beyond plan which is a graduation requirement.
