ISD Catalyst Award Recipient. We are
proud to announce that Spanish teacher, Andrea
Hillman, was recently recognized with an
Issaquah School District Catalyst award.
This is an award given to individuals "who
see beyond the thing that is, picture what
can be, draw us into it, and continually
develop in us the capacity to see, invent
and become something more. We celebrate such
daring and caring individuals among us for
the growth and change they have directly,
intentionally caused." Andrea's vision,
determination and energy brought Challenge
day to Liberty. She also makes many valuable
contributions on Liberty's curriculum team
and as a Foreign Language Department
Head. Thank you Andrea! We are privileged to
have you on staff.

Letters of Intent. Earlier in the
year, Marnie Koziol accomplished a
long sought after goal when she signed a
letter of intent to play softball at the
University of Washington. Coach Hartman states, "The UW is considered
one of the top 3 programs in the country,
and Marnie has wanted this since she began
playing softball. She works on her game at
least 5 days a week year round, so this is
something she has put in all sorts of hard
work for..." Jessie Simons recently
signed a letter of intent to play basketball
at Bellevue Community College. Coach
Harsh adds, "I have had the
pleasure of coaching Jessie in basketball
all four years at Liberty. She was a team
leader and had the respect of both her
teammates and her opponents. This was
recently reflected by receiving 'Athlete of
the year' by the Issaquah Rotary and also
making the All-Kingco 2nd team."
Congratulations to Marnie and Jessie. Thank
you to coaches Hartman and Harsh. |
