Fastpitch team brought home the
District II Championship, defeating Issaquah
6-4 in the championships game on May 19th.
They were also named the Seattle Times "Team
of the Week." Fastpitch fought hard
in the State
Championships. They started the day with a
win over Sehome 3-0 @ 1:00 PM. The next game
was a 7:00 PM game against Tumwater which
was hard fought, and we were defeated 0-4.
The girls then had to turn around and play a
late loser out game (9:00 PM start .. it
started later). The girls fought hard,
coming from behind to take the lead in the
7th inning, only to lose a very
disappointing game 12-13 against West Valley
(Yakima). Outstanding effort ladies!!

ISD Chain of Achievement Award.
Congratulations to English and Drama
teacher, Katherine Klekas, who has
been honored with the Issaquah School
District's Chain of Achievement award.
Katherine believes students can reach high
standards, and as a result, they do. She
continues to develop curriculum that
creatively challenges students, and then
supports students as they meet these
challenges. The theatre is where everyone
gets to see Katherine’s magic. Katherine
believes the undoable is possible, and she
gets students and their parents to believe
it too. We saw it happen in Seussical, Our
Town, Starmites, On the Razzle and many
other shows. Katherine provides an essential
route for students to understand and
demonstrate their potential. We are proud,
and we are challenged to capture this
potential in our own work with students. |

Rotary
Students of the Month--March.
Danny
Kam
has
discovered his passion for theatre and has
conquered a rapid series of increasingly
challenging roles. In addition to his
performances, Danny has made other valuable
contributions, including his leadership
skills as Drama Club Vice-President, his
artistic ability as a graphic artist and
scenic painter.
Jessica Panks has never been a
flamboyant leader or a cellist who craves
attention. Jessie's contribution to the
music program has been her quiet, consistent
work which is always of top caliber. She has
been a leader of her section, a promoter and
role model for chamber music, and she has
always been willing to to go way out of her
way for the greater good of the ensemble. |
