Sports Medicine Staff

Sports Medicine instructor Larry Brown, ATC certified athletic trainer is pictured far right with his Advanced Sports Medicine class field trip to Liberty High School in Renton. Mr. Brown earned a master’s degree in Sports Medicine in 1987 and his National Athletic Training Association NATA certification in 1988. He has over seventeen years of certified athletic training experience, including classroom instruction, personal training and coaching. Mr. Brown has instructed Sports Medicine at the high school level for over ten years. He worked as a fitness trainer at the Washington Institute of Sports Medicine in Kirkland for three years. He was the Head Athletic Trainer at Emerald Downs race track for three years treating jockey’s injuries. His other professional sports training experience includes Seattle Sounders and Women’s Seattle Sounders Select, and the Portland Trailblazer Rookie Camps. Other work has included the Seattle Sonics Youth Basketball Camps, and the Seattle Goodwill Games. Mr. Brown coached high school wrestling for over 25 years, and was inducted into the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame.
