The Liberty High School Marching Band:
For the first quarter of the year, the Liberty High School Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble rehearse the same music to form the Liberty High School Marching Band, for the Liberty home football games, pep assemblies, as well as other community events.
The marching band season begins with our annual Summer Band Camp at Liberty High School. This is when we first introduce the music, marching fundamentals, and prepare our homecoming halftime show as well as the Salmon Days Grand Parade. This one week of camp is much more than just a series of rehearsals. It is an opportunity for freshmen to meet with the other band members and create some new friendships before the start of the school year.
Each day consists of marching basics, full ensemble rehearsals, sectional rehearsals, and leadership building activities. There will also be guest clinicians volunteering their time to assist us in our endeavor.
Although the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band meet at different times throughout the school day, the Liberty High School Marching Band has occasional morning rehearsals during the marching season to give the students a chance to run through music and march together before performing in front of the community. These rehearsals like performances are mandatory.
