These movies are acceptable movies you can watch for
extra credit. They are linked to
the Internet Movie Database descriptions of the movie. Your parents may
want to
read about them before they rent them for you.
Buena Vista Social Club (documentary)
Il Postino (Pablo Neruda, poet, is main character)
The Sea Inside (content on end-of-life right to die)
Volver (parents--take a look at rating!)
To get one late homework pass, do the following.
1) Rent the movie and save the receipt.
2) Watch the movie.
3) Have an adult you
live with (older than 25 yrs) write a note that says you watched it
(note can be on the receipt).
4) Bring me the
receipt and the note before or after class and have a ~3 min. conversation
with me about it.
5) I'll give you the late homework pass after the conversation.
